Williams Jet Tenders, the world’s leading jet tender specialist, has been honoured with the Sustainability Project of the Year award at the tenth anniversary edition of the Boat Builder Awards. The esteemed event, held at Amsterdam’s iconic National Maritime Museum, celebrates outstanding achievements in excellence and innovation across the global yachting industry.
Williams Jet Tenders received recognition for its multi-faceted sustainability programme, a pioneering initiative aimed at significantly reducing the company’s environmental footprint. Judges commended the company for its comprehensive approach, which includes the publication of an annual sustainability report and the commencement of full lifecycle assessments for its models.
“Winning the Sustainability Project of the Year award is a testament to the hard work and commitment of our team,” said owners Mathew and John Hornsby in a joint statement. “At Williams, sustainability is a fundamental part of our mission and this award reinforces our resolve to lead the industry toward a more environmentally responsible future.”
The Sustainability Project of the Year award recognises boat builders and shipyards that implement impactful changes to their business or production processes, achieving measurable reductions in environmental impact during manufacturing and across a product’s lifecycle.
The Boat Builder Awards, co-organised by International Boat Industry (IBI) and METSTRADE, marked its 10th anniversary by highlighting achievements in 11 categories, spanning design, innovation, and environmental responsibility. The event underscored the collective strides made by the yachting industry in advancing sustainability and innovation.
This award joins a list of accolades for the brand after also winning at King’s Award for Enterprise in International Trade earlier this year.
